Yes We Can

Streaming video is still better than nothing, but it kinda sucks. CSpan has the best video, but their audio (viewer call ins) isn't great. Right now I'm 'watching' (actually an open window in the background so I'm more "listening") MSNBC, which is Joe Scarborough's show, which I don't really enjoy (but at least the audio alerts me as to when I should click over to the video).

Frustration

Well, this day is apparently a huge stress test for the internet. The only streaming video I can find that works even a little is Fox, and that's more off than on.

Which means that shortly I will need to make my way downstairs to one of the dozen or so bars within walking distance, where its sure to be on the TV. But its not quite the experience of watching the innaguration I had hoped for.

(I should have stayed home.)

Breaking News

MSNBC and CNN are reporting that Sen Ted Kennedy collapsed at the official luncheon and had to be removed on a stretcher.

E says....

So, we broke the "no video after dinner" rule because I've had MSNBC on pretty much continually since I got home.

Playing with trucks after dinner, we were watching clips of the speech. I pointed to the TV and told E "Do you know who that is?"

E said "Okey Dokey Obama!"

Me: "That's right! His name is Obama..."

E: "No no no no no. His name is Okey Dokey Obama!" {here follows hysterical toddler giggling}

Okey Dokey then.
