Josh found this on-line and we're wondering if anyone in Boston knows anything more about it:

They're "producing" something called TOMB

"5W!TS premier show, TOMB, now at 5W!TS-Boston, is a 45-minute interactive adventure experience set in an incredibly realistic pharaoh's tomb in an archaeological dig site in ancient Egypt.

Guests begin their expedition by meeting with their Guide and receiving their final instructions from Director Cavendish. Groups then begin to explore TOMB in hopes of discovering the mystery of the lost professor. However, once inside the TOMB the spirit of an ancient Pharaoh is awoken and things take a turn for the worse.

No one knows quite what will happen, but there are a few things you can be certain of: You'll be using your mind and body to solve physical and mental challenges, working together as a team to progress through to the pharaoh's burial chamber. Your choices matter in this hands-on adventure. No one said it would be easy, and there are consequences if you fail!

The photos on their website look pretty cool.

Yeah, it's been down the street from me as long as I have been at Simmons. I know a whole bunch of people who have gone and say it was lots of fun, but I haven't had a chance to get there yet. It seems a little old for E, if you were thinking of taking him.

No, Josh was thinking of it for him and some of his friends, I think.

We are going to the Franklin Park Zoo tomorrow, however. You're welcome to join us if you want.

Mark and I are running away for the weekend to celebrate the reign being over, but thank you very much for the invitation. If I weren't busy, I'd love to.

It's a bit like a live-action version of the old Myst game, or so I am told.

I was unable to go when some friends put together a trip, but they told me it was sort of fun, but not very challenging, and since they shared their adventure with a birthday part of 12-14 year olds (who had fun), it was not what they had in mind.

Probably good for the two of you, not the three of you.

I believe Josh was thinking of this as a fun trip for him and his gaming friends.....

The trip I had to miss, walked down the street to Boston Beerworks (on a non-home-Red-Sox night), and celebrated their victory with savory food and tasty treats. :-)

Might work, but honestly: Josh (and likely his friends) are too smart to be really challenged. They'll still have fun.

We went this past December, taking our 10-year-old niece and 6-year-old nephew. You go into the tomb and it's dark, and a booming voice speaks (trying not to give out any spoilers here); the 6-year-old was pretty scared, and the 10-year-old somewhat so, but thought it was kind of cool also.

If it had just been my lord and me . . . hmmmm. Sort of cute, but not very challenging. I guess I would rate it "kind of fun." I think that the other commenters are correct - if I had a thirteen-year-old to take, they'd have had a GREAT time.

So I'm not sure how much Josh would like it.

I know nothing about it, but it looks pretty cool. It does seem fairly pricey, though, for 45 minutes. If it were cheaper, I would try to get my summer camp to make a trip there.
