I can't think when the last time was that I was home but went a week without posting. I hope you didn't miss me.

Many things have happened in the past week: Josh's Birthday, Tourney of Love event, E's overnight at Mimi and Poppa's house, working, snowfall, rain, life. I won't bore you with all that.

E has a set of Beanie Baby sized stuffed Pooh characters: Everyone is there, including the gopher, a stuffed elephant who stands in for Lumpy (from the modern Heffalump movie), and also the sheep ("His name is Pig") that we bought E at Birka.

E: Owl can fly. He has wings.
Me: Do you have wings?
E: No, I have hands and fingers and arms.
Me: That's right. Can Lumpy fly?
E: No, he has feet.
Me: Can Rabbit fly?
E: No, he has feet too. He bounces.
Me: That's right. He's a good bouncer. Can the sheep fly?
E: No, he has feet too. Birds can fly.
Me: Yes, that's right. All birds can fly, except Penguins.
Editor's note: yes, I know that's wrong. A Penguin is the only flightless bird that E knows about, however.
E: Yes, they fly. They have wings. [Thinks] Can Whales Fly?



Me: Thinks about telling him about the Twitter Fail Whale, resists saying "Yes, if birds carry them." No, whales swim.
E: Fish swim too.
Me: Yes, that's right. And you can swim, too.
E: Yes, I can! And so can you, Mamma. And we can bounce, too. And we can fly.
Me: Yes, E, if we want to, we can fly.
