Daily Gazette
Here's a little catch-up Gazette for you.
The Cardboard Kitchen
Cardboard food art
Great Depression Cooking with Clara
Clara Cannucciari was born in 1915. Her Great-grandson has been making short films of Clara cooking recipes that Clara's mother used during the Great Depression and posting them to YouTube. This is great stuff. "Welcome to my kitchen. I'm Clara, I'm 93 years old, and today we are making meals from the depression."
All About Armor
With some fairly wonky extant helms
The Serious Need for Play
Scientific American
No Fear: Growing up in a Risk Averse Society
Free e-book. Good stuff.
The Institute of Draped Clothes
"We are an institute for the research, study, preservation and promotion of draped clothing such as saris, belted plaids, Roman togas, sarongs, and other unstitched costumes found all over the world and History." Really, you want the web library
Sari Safari
The relationship between cinema and comics
McCulture: An Essay
Avid Book Reader
A blog
50 of the World's Best Food Blogs
... according to the Times of London
World of Warcraft Papercraft
That seems to bring this list full circle, so I'll leave you 'till next time.
