"We will open the book. Its pages are blank." - E L Pierce

V. Short Recap:

Wed 12/31: Worked until about 330pm. Had a few friends over for New Year's eve. Went upstairs to put cranky toddler to bed around 8-ish. Fell asleep with him. Josh woke me up around 130 am. Missed the festivities entirely.

Thurs 1/01: Friends came over for ritual New Year's Day Eggs Benedict and Fondue feast. Played Quiddler. Made Josh administer the nap/bedtime routines so that I could stay awake.

Friday 1/02: Josh let me sleep in. Ran errands. E slept through entire visit to Target in his stroller. Did not buy frame I loved at Christmas Tree Shops.

Saturday 1/03: Josh let me sleep in again. Worked at Call Center 130-10pm. E and Josh went to spend the afternoon/evening with Josh's parents. Watched some of Iron Man when I got home but was too tired to get past the first press conference.

Sunday 1/04: Totally lazy day. None of us ever got properly dressed. Played trucks and Mr. Potato Head with E. Josh let me take an afternoon nap. We did not succeed in taking down the tree, even a little. Wanted Josh to take E outside to play but E wasn't having any of it - total tantrum meltdown at the idea of going outside. Made E Tuna Melt for lunch, but he scraped it off his tongue. Watched three West Wing eps while I should have been cleaning. S & A called and it was very good to talk with them.

Now, back to the grindstone....
