Say what you want about
the weather, but I will
tell you this:

When morning snow encrusts
the trees, dressing them
like anorexic brides
enqueued to walk the runway,

this virgin world appears
full of possibility and hope
that even spindly girls

will find love.

Well, that's helpful

Evan is still - still! - sick ... on day 7 of his low-grade fever.

I took him to the doctor (I've spoken with them twice this week) and they swabbed his nose.

He has The Flu, but they can't tell us much more than that (like what type). No way to treat it, we just have to live with it until he gets better.

I'm not pleased with this result.
