Today at Physical Therapy, I was able to ride the stationary bike for ten minutes. This is notable because its really the first time that I've had enough range of motion to be able to make the pedals go all the way around.
I find I'm using my crutches less and less, and wearing my brace basically not at all. I do typically use my crutches outdoors (more as a safety mechanism than anything else) but indoors I'm all limping all the time now. I also found this morning that I can pick E up and carry him from one place to another (slowly) without totally losing my balance.
E has been waking up in the middle of the night (4-5am) for the past few nights, crying and calling for us. I think he's having bad dreams. He's become obsessed with Peter Pan lately and I suspect (based on the fact he was muttering 'tick tock tick tock tick tock') this morning when I went in to see to him) that he's having bad dreams about Pirates and Crocodiles.
The frustrating part about trying to do the 365 pictures thing is that often I see images that I want to take a picture of, but can't. This morning it was an interplay of wheels on the bikes at PT (I suspect I would have gotten spoken to if I had pulled out a camera) and a pile of sleds in front of a thrift shop (I wasn't about to ask the cab to stop so I could snap a photo). Still, I try to focus on the idea that the images should be more about my daily life than about "great" images I see (not that there is any reason that they can't be great images from my daily life). I'm trying to hold that thought. Really I am.
I think I've found a car. Its a 1999 VW Passat wagon. The price is right, its in great shape (only 80K miles on a ten year old car), it has a very clean Carfax report with a really complete service history, and has only had one owner). I pick it up Saturday. Now I just have to figure out what the license plate should say.
