Well, one week until Christmas and I don't have a single gift for Josh. Not one blessed thing.

I can't even think of one thing.

He's no help. He has an Amazon wishlist but there isn't much there.

In other years I've had fabulous ideas that were a complete surprise -- light sabers, complete Highlander on DVD, rare books.

This year, nada.

I joked this morning that I may order him a "Worlds Best Dad" tee shirt and be done with it. Its the thought that counts, right?

Actually, what I wanted to get him was a really good set of cooking knives, but the sale on the set I wanted ended before I could get there (why do stores have sales on Saturday only?) and I can't find anything else acceptable in the sub-$100 price range.

My Osteo's office is nagging me about blood draws to check my INR levels. They're understanding that I'm dependent on others for transportation, but they're starting to get aggressive about insisting on twice weekly blood draws.

Fortunately ...

I have a rental car coming this afternoon (yay Enterprise corporate rate) and I'm going to keep it for a week. Of course, this opens up a host of other issues -- mainly the fact I'll need to park a couple blocks from work and that walk will be challenging (I'll try to think of it as a good workout.
