We're trying to make a list of all the words E can say. What I have so far:
Dada, Mama, Hi!, Bye, Papa (his grandfather), up, down, done, ba (bottle), duck, tur-tle, nose, maw (more), book, ball, meow, uh-oh, go, shoe (actually "dhue"), pink, pur-pu (purple), black (my little goth boy, those are the only three color words he has), no, yeah, Wheee!, buk (bucket), squawk ("what does the parrot say?"), Moo ("what does the cow say?"), squeek ("What does the mouse say?"), roooOOOOOooorrr (anytime he sees a picture of a lion), Go-ver (Grover), E-mo (Elmo), Cookie (sometimes sounds more like "cocoa"), Ca-cah (cracker), guck (truck).
I'm sure here are more, but they don't leap to mind.
I'm puzzled by the fact that many of the words he hears multiple times per day (like diaper) and words I know he understands (like kiss) are words he never tries to say, even when they are words for things he loves (like blocks) and sounds I know he has (like ... blocks).
Tiny minds are very puzzling.
