So, have you ever wondered what is more fun than having to drive in a raging blizzard? I now know the answer...
... having to drive your 8-month old son to the Emergency Room in a raging blizzard.
Evan woke up from his unscheduled after-dinner nap last night with a fever of 104.8. So, after calling the Pediatrician, we drove across town to take him to the ER, where they were able to bring his fever down and ruled out a bunch more things (including a bladder infection or UTI - by drawing urine with a catheter - ouch!), then basically said "he has a virus" (ie: we have no idea what is wrong with him) and sent us home.
We're now giving alternating Motrin and Tylenol every three hours, which is keeping his fever in check, but he's still a pretty grumpy little man.
On the upside, he and I did lounge and nap on the sofa this afternoon watching the Red Sox loose to Cincinnati whilst wearing green uniforms (and I believe the bases were green as well).
On the downside, I didn't get to go to Goddesses and I really, really wanted to go.
herooftheage here is a big smooch for you; I was hoping to give it to you in person today. Hope the show went well.
