So, this is where I've been
Dec. 11th, 2005 10:50 amSorry I haven't been around. My week this week has basically been roofers, then work work work work work work work work work. Today is my single day off for this week, and I have another week like last weeks (except hopefully without roofers) coming towards me.
Today is all about holiday shopping, grocery shopping, dinner with MJ and Kevin, and decorating the tree.
There are few cooler things in the world than waking up in the morning bleary and forgetting that there is a giant tree in your front parlor, only to stagger down the stairs to the bathroom and see the beautiful tree shimmering at you. Yay tree!!
The low point of my week was throwing up in the car on the way home from work on Wednesday night. While I was driving. By some miracle I managed to grab the plastic grocery store bag I took my lunch in, dump the stuff out of it, and get it in place to catch the worst of the mess, but the remainder of the (like 3 minute, not far) drive home was unpleasant and you can imagine Josh's surprise when I got home. He was very sweet and bundled me into the shower and took my ickly clothes to the basement for washing and tucked me into bed and brought me tea and peppermints. I'm a very lucky girl.
I've been trying to figure out if there was a high point of my week that was as high as the low point, but not so much. I'm looking forward to an entire day off spent with my sweetie, though. And coming home last night at 11pm after work and finding a lit up tree and warm house and carols on the stereo and snuggling on the sofa basking in the light of the tree was pretty high up there.
I did manage to take some photos of things lit up during Friday's massive snowstorm. If I'm not too busy I'll try to post them later today.
