"When a day that you happen to know is Wednesday starts off sounding like Sunday, there is something seriously wrong somewhere."

The Cameratoss Project
A Flickr group. Basically you set your camera on a super long exposure, set the flash to somehow trigger, then toss it up in the air. Some of the best of the Flickr photos are here.

Mighty Goods
Another shopping blog. I'm enjoying some of the stuff in novelties - in particular, I've been looking for these for ages.

Drawing Pitchers
"During the course of his procrastinations, Witte became convinced that he had divined a very important secret: how to safely and dependably throw a ninety-five-mile-per-hour fastball" The secrets of the Great Pitchers revealed. Sort of.

LA Time Machines
"Get ready to take a trip back in time. Los Angeles restaurants and bars from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s (movie palaces, motel signs, and remnants of Rt. 66 as well) - this website concentrates on those bastions of a bygone era which were built before 1970 and still have elements of the original interior design (or at least look like they are original). These are the places I call "time machines"."

How To Cut Quill Pens From Feathers

Jerry Crowe and Valli Herman of the LA Times have quite a sense of humor. This Yahoo News Story is about a new dress code for NBA players. Some choice quotes:

Other players declared their opposition on various grounds.

Marcus Camby of the Denver Nuggets, whose contract will pay him nearly $50 million over the next five years, told an interviewer before the code was imposed, "I don't see it happening unless every NBA player is given a stipend to buy clothes."

Iverson, at a party marking the launch of his new Reebok shoe Monday night, suggested that the policy put too much emphasis on appearance.

"I think it's wrong," he told reporters shortly after the dress code was announced. "You shouldn't judge a person from what they wear."

I encourage you to read the whole article. Its ... interesting.
