Help not lose my F&#@*%@ Mind over Computer Problems

My (donated, everything is donated) computer at work does not have a functioning CD drive.

We recently got a very nice, brand new, iomega external CD RW drive that I'm trying to hook to my computer to solve the "not having a CD drive" problem -- all good, except:

I can't install the fucking thing. I've been trying since 9:30 this morning. I downloaded drivers from the iomega website, but for reasons unknown to me the computer (Windows ME -- don't say it. Donated, remember?) can't see/find/figure out the drivers (do I even have the right drivers?) and keeps telling me to insert the Windows ME disc. Well, I have the disc, but I can't insert it because I don't have a functiong drive....

Augggghhhh!!!!

If anyone has any suggestions please send them along before I kill someone or something.
