Weird evening last night.
E was fine until dinner time. Then he sat in his booster seat for about a minute and suddenly started to cry. "Hold me daddy, hold me. It hurts. Hold me, daddy." Josh picks him up and all E keeps saying is "its going to fall, its going to fall." We got him a different chair - same deal. High chair - same deal. We finally ended up eating dinner at his play picnic table on the porch because he was afraid all the chairs in the kitchen were "going to fall."
Then, a normal (if somewhat cranky bedtime). PJs on, teeth brushed, stories read, I'm snuggling with him and he's almost asleep ... suddenly he sits up, freaks out, starts climbing over me (crying) to get out of the bed ... "Its going to fall, its going to fall." He runs almost out of the room. Josh picks him up. He's still crying. Does he want to go sleep in Mamma's bed? Yes. "The elephants are coming. The elephants are in my room. Its going to fall."
We go lay down in our bed (he's clearly totally freaked out). He calms down, settles down, snuggles down ... then it starts again - bolt upright, "Daddy! Daddy!" Hops out of bed runs into the hall "The elephants are coming. Its going to fall. Its going to fall."
In the end, both Josh and I laid down on our bed with him, and E and I fell asleep. When Josh came to bed he tried to move him, but E woke up when Josh picked him up (which is very unusual) and cried and begged not to go in his room. So we all slept together crunched up in our bed.
He did watch the Disney Tarzan at daycare yesterday (its been pouring rain here). I've never seen it. Could the elephants have something to do with that?
